I was drawn in immediately! The characters and story are well constructed. I found this book very enjoyable and the characters endearing.
That reason for my rating has to do with the graphic violence and sexual explicitly . I thought it was too much, at least for my taste.
Also, I found the story dragging slowly on in places. Almost as if the authors were just filling in words while figuring out the next bit. I am eagerly awaiting the next book, though. 😊

Not a genre that I normally read but I am bewitched by this.I can't wait for the next installment. Well written by two true wordsmiths.
I was having a hard time trying to find a new book to read when a friend mentioned this book to me. I tell you, I couldn't put this book down. The story follows three different characters so even if you don't like one BAM scene changes and you have two more to enjoy. If the authors sees this, my advice to her would be write faster!
Axiom take you through a number of very distinct worlds. Some of the worlds play host to the mysterious Authorities, some are controlled by them, while others have no clue to their existence. Born among those worlds are a small number of Wanderers capable of things beyond the normal capabilities of those around them. Their powers have been classified and categorized, and in many places kept secret.
Follow the stories of Wanderers as they start to learn more about themselves and what is really happening among the worlds. Find yourself wondering what ties them together, despite being from very different worlds, what awaits them in their futures, and then come back for the second book in the series. Because no matter what you might think, there are going to be surprises around every turn.
Wow! After reading the prologue, I just could not put this book down! From there, with my mind whirling with questions, we are thrown right into the lives of Daeson, Synjan and Hawke, each in their respective worlds and each with their different lives, problems and powers. Axiom is written in a similar way to Game of Thrones - which each chapter being written from a different character's point of view, so if you like that style of writing, this book may be for you. I'm really looking forward to all of the characters' stories intertwining in future books!

Even though this book has two authors, it is not noticeable at all. Their writing styles are so similar that the story flows seamlessly between chapters, characters and worlds.

It's a big commitment to get into a new series when it first comes out - I'm one of those impatient readers who don't like waiting a year (or longer) for the next book in a series to be released. I was pleased (and surprised) to see a lovely note at the end of the book where the authors, Linda and Delia, promise a new book every 6 months. I'm happy to give this new series a go, knowing that the authors are mindful of how waiting affects their readers! I wish all authors were so thoughtful!
I know Australians and Americans have different swears--I'd never discuss shag carpet in Australia, for example. But the language precludes this from being appropriate juvenile reading in the United States.
Excellent book...highly recommended!!!! Can't wait to read the rest of the series!!!
Intriguing characters thrust into diverse worlds, all connected, all gifted . . . this book kept me guessing until the last page and eagerly waiting for the next book!
