Despite the category this is placed in, and a few SF buzz words, this is really a police procedural. It's a very well written cop story, Parkes does a good job of keeping the reader's interest, and it does take place in the future but, in the end, a cop story is what it is. Fans of science fiction might like it, but in the same way that one might like Criminal Minds, despite it having nothing to do with the genre we favor. If you feel like branching out, this is quite worth reading, but if it's only SF you're looking for, best go with something else.Product details
