I enjoyed the plot, the characters (for the most part) and the entire premise but found her reactions a little too bland, accepting and unbelieveable. Considering that it is a paranormal story containing werewolves and vampires that is saying alot.

I want the characters to have believable lines. Not "Oh, I am a werewolf. That's why I am stronger, faster and light bothers my eyes!" Don't get me wrong, I liked the book but would have liked the author to flesh out the 'whys' of the story: why her mother didn't tell her, or her father tell her or the supposed pack Alpha that just accepted her tell her or .... Get my drift? Or her is another why - her human partner has knows her father and knows that she is a werewolf but "we will keep that a little secret" from her because her dad wanted someone to watch over her. Say what? She's a fricken werewolf and he is a human.

The vampires, well, they are the good guy vampires and werewolf blood is a drug. He couldn't smell her blood until he tasted her but could smell the 'bad vamp' he was hunting blocks away? Suspension of disbelif is required in all books - but, please, don't break the rubber band. You can only stretch it so far.

Those are my gripes about the book. I still liked though it forced me to shout "Seriously?!?" at it a few times. It is a fast read - too fast - but fun. Recommend reading this - just make sure your suspension of disbelif is well greased.

A riveting fast paced fictional novel that keeps you engaged throughout the book. A well written as well as entertaining.
The action is non-stop and the characters are presented well. I really enjoyed the quick relationship, no soul mates, just good old fashioned attraction.

Great story and a solid end. Hope she writes about the alpha wolf. The conflict possibilities could be glorious.

I just bought this book again, this time - for a dear friend in Florida who I know will like reading it because I did and think this book is an excellent, fun, thrilling and exciting read. The storyline is great and the writer has done an excellent job of writing it. I would recommend this book to anyone and because I purchased it twice shows how wonderful it is.

As I haven;t read a vampire novel since I borrows my grand daughter's copy of Twilight and agreed with many that Bella needed a life not a boyfriend and it left me unimpressed it was only the modern aspect of this not only having the popular vampires and were wolves but also a woman who had a lot more spunk that that other heroine I just referred to.

When you add in cops and sexiness and the great Serena Zane, best-selling eclectic author and come up with Paranormal Romance, Action/adventure Romance, as in Snow Beast you have an entertaining read.
The cover of this novel drew me in but what kept me reading were the twin vampires. Nikki Adams is a detective with strange powers herself (she likes to work nights and light hurts her eyes). Nikki's on the job. There are two groups of vampires (good and evil). They're hot looking. Damon (one of the twins) wants Nikki in a big way but she has other issues to contend with first. The action takes place in Boston, MA and Nikki's job is to solve a series of homicides that occur during a brutal winter in the city. She joins forces with the twins, Damon and Jared, to address the problem that confronts her and the Boston police. The only problem is that she's torn between two worlds. She's got rogue vampires to suppress as well as werewolves on her hands. Rowie, her best friend, keeps trying to set her up on blind dates but those experiences don't always go so well. It's a short read but very well done. You won't be disappointed.
